Ortelan Labs launches Praus
A U.S.-based AI harness for research, writing and code, with published benchmark results and agents in preview.

The launch
Ortelan Labs has launched Praus, a sovereign AI harness that selects open-source models for each request and checks their responses. Available at praus.ai, it brings research, writing and coding into one workspace, with tools for projects, collaboration and voice. Agents are in preview for selected accounts.
Published results
The announcement presents results from nine public benchmarks. In Ortelan’s testing, Praus ranked first among the systems listed for GraphWalks and SimpleQA. Ortelan estimates on-premises infrastructure cost at $0.00069 for a typical answer. These are company-reported results and cost estimates, not subscription pricing or guarantees of performance.
Full announcement
The full release covers Praus, the lab’s other products, client work and leadership. It was distributed by GlobeNewswire and published as a press release on AP News.
